REBREATHER DIVER

Train recreational divers in the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for using any of the Draeger semi-closed circuit rebreathers to depths not exceeding 130 feet.

Prerequisites:

Minimum of 25 total logged dives (excluding training dives)

Minimum of 15 logged nitrox dives (excluding nitrox training dives)

Minimum age of 15 years

Required Equipment:

Mask, fins, snorkel and thermal suits appropriate to the conditions being dove.

Rebreather and open circuit bail-out adequate to abort a dive in the depth range and conditions being dove. (May be supplied by instructor)

Course Requirements:

6 hours classroom

OPEN WATER SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Properly analyze gas mix

Demonstrate adequate pre-dive planning and execution of those plans.

Demonstrate recovery from failed system and switch to open circuit bail-out.

Proper assembly, breakdown, and maintenance of system
